Story

We didn't set out to build accounting software.

We set out to never again miss a quarterly return because the spreadsheet got too long. The product was the side-effect.

The trigger was a quarterly VAT return that took two weeks and a panicked call to a Big-Four partner who'd never seen our chart of accounts.

We tried QuickBooks. We tried Xero. We tried Zoho. Every tool was excellent for a US, UK, or Indian accountant. None of them knew what a TRN was, none of them spoke EmaraTax, and all of them assumed VAT meant 20%, not 5%.

So we're building Watin. UAE-native, FTA-aligned, free of jargon, and designed for the person who actually runs the books — not the auditor reviewing them later.
